George has over 34 year’s post-qualification experience in Financial, Commercial and Audit sectors. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and has completed his post-graduate studies in Tax Law, Advanced Banking and Corporate and Business Governance and Compliance. He has executive auditing, finance and risk management experience in listed and multinational companies, including Nedbank Limited and Roche (South Africa) and was an audit manager at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC). He is a member of The Investment Analysts' Society of South Africa.
He has lectured on a part-time basis for 5 years in Accounting and Auditing at the University of the Witwatersrand, and has served on the Auditing Standards Committee of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He has also been an invited speaker at international conferences, including The Economist Conferences Greece and TXF.
For many years he has served in numerous non-profit organisations and has also been a Trustee of Hellenic Hope.
